Finished in Black Onyx with a tan interior. Substantially modified, this SC boasts a turbocharged 5.3-liter V8 in place of the factory 4.0-liter V8. Fully built as detailed below, the GM-sourced engine is boosted by a BorgWarner S369 turbocharger and mated to a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission. 18-inch wheels, BC Racing coilovers, a KAAZ 2-way differential, Michelin Pilot Sport tires, and a host of other modifications transform this Lexus from luxury coupe to muscle car.Lexus released the first-generation SC for the 1992 model year. It was marketed as a two-door alternative to the LS, but simply chopping off a pair of doors was out of the question. Stylists gave the SC a sleek, elegant silhouette perfectly aligned with the design trends of the 1990s, while engineers developed multi-piece door hinges that were as complex as they were fascinating. Production ended in 2000 after Lexus made 82,538 units.Power for this SC comes from a 5.3-liter turbocharged V8, and the seller reports that it produces 545 whp and 649 lb-ft of torque; however, no dyno sheet was supplied to confirm. The engine spins the rear wheels via a Tremec T56 6-speed manual transmission.
