The 1993 and later models benefitted from a revised suspension to mitigate lift-throttle oversteer, larger brakes, and an optional limited-slip differential.Power comes from a mid-mounted, turbocharged "3S-GTE" 2.0-liter twin-cam inline-4, rated at 241 horsepower and 224 lb-ft of torque in stock form. According to the dyno sheet in the photo gallery, the modifications increase those figures to 308 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
