1988 Toyota MR2 Supercharged, finished in black with a black and gray interior. This MR2 is equipped with the desirable 5-speed manual transmission. Factory equipment includes removable roof panels, power windows and locks, air conditioning, and cruise control. Modifications are limited to a set of 15-inch Sparco wheels, oversized Hankook tires, and a modern stereo system. Some service documents are available and are pictured in the photo gallery. Recently, the Sparco wheels were installed with four new tires along with new exhaust piping.The MR2's name stood for "Mid-ship Runabout 2-Seater," a reference to its mid-engine layout, compact size, and 2-seat configuration. The MR2 was introduced in the U.S. for the 1984 model year, and ran until 1990 when it was followed by a second-generation hardtop and a third-gen roadster.Power comes from a supercharged and intercooled "4A-GZE" 1.6-liter inline-4, which produces 145 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission.
