1998 BMW M3, finished in Cosmos Black with a black interior. This coupe is equipped with the desirable 5-speed manual transmission. Modifications include a Jim Conforti intake system, a Dinan exhaust system after the catalytic converter, 17-inch APEX ARC-8 wheels, H&R Special Springs Sport-Series springs, DEPO European-spec headlights, a UUC Motorwerks EVO3 shifter, a ZHP illuminated shift knob, and a Kenwood head unit. The traction control system has been removed as well.Factory equipment includes leather upholstery, heated "Vader" front seats, an M Sports steering wheel, air conditioning, and a Harman Kardon sound system. This M3's build sheet is shown in the gallery.BMW introduced the E36-generation M3 as a coupe for 1995, and it expanded the range with a sedan and a convertible in 1997 and 1998, respectively. The second-generation M3 was bigger than its predecessor, the original E30-based model, but it remained quick and engaging to drive so demand quickly ballooned. BMW ended production of the E36 3 Series in 2000.Power comes from a 3.2-liter straight-6, rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. Called "S52" internally, it spins the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
