Modifications reported by the seller include an HTE Performance tune, de-catted headers from RMS Fabrications, exhaust cutouts, and RPi ram-air scoops.Service documentation pictured in the photo gallery shows that the V10 engine on this M5 was replaced with an exchange unit in July 2012, at 65,770 miles. This car also had its rod bearings replaced with upgraded ACL units in January 2020, at approximately 143,000 miles, as well as both throttle actuators in the last 2,000 miles.Based on the E60-generation 5 Series, the fourth-generation M5 made its debut for the 2006 model year with a mighty V10 engine between its vented fenders. It followed its segment's shift towards technology and luxury by offering enthusiasts a longer list of equipment than its predecessor, including a Power button and configurable driving modes. Production ended in 2010, and BMW hasn't released another V10-powered M5 since.Power for this M5 comes from an "S85" 5.0-liter V10, rated at 500 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. Due to the modifications performed to this E60, it may produce more power, but a dyno sheet was not provided to confirm. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
