Finished in red with a black soft top and a red interior. The odometer currently indicates approximately 93,000 miles. Doug DeMuro recently reviewed this Dakota and the video is viewable below. Equipment includes a manually-folding soft top, a roll bar, cloth upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power windows and locks, air conditioning, cruise control, an AM/FM/Cassette radio, and more as detailed below. A partial list of modifications reported by the seller include 16-inch Impul R5 3-piece wheels, 2-inch wheel spacers, a Belltech lowering kit, heavy-duty shocks, a TruXport bed cover, and a period body kit. The full list is shown below. In an attempt to bolster lagging sales of its once-popular mid-sized pickup, Chrysler decided to up the fun-factor of the Dakota by contracting coachbuilder ASC to transform it into a full-fledged convertible sport truck. Unfortunately the model never sold well, and the project was cancelled after roughly 3,700 units were built. Power comes from a 3.9-liter V6, rated at 125 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Output is shuttled to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission.
