Modifications reported by the seller include a VF Engineering tune, an aftermarket exhaust system, an XPEL Stealth exterior wrap, tinted side-marker lights, and tinted windows. Audi broke new ground when it released the first-generation R8 for the 2008 model year. Low and wide, the R8 benefitted from Audi's expertise in using aluminum to save weight, and it launched with a V8 engine mounted behind the passenger compartment. It shared several parts with the Lamborghini Gallardo, though it was a fundamentally different car. Production of the original R8 (called "Type 42" internally) ended in 2015.Limited to 60 units for the United States, the Competition model arrived for 2015 as the original R8's swan song. It benefitted from a more powerful engine and several carbon fiber exterior accents, among other changes.Power comes from a 5.2-liter V10, rated at 570 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque.
