Following a major update in 2003 with more power, a revised dash, and myriad smaller changes, updates for 2005 were limited to newly-standard 18-inch alloy wheels. Power comes from the "2UZ-FE" 4.7-liter V8, which produces 235 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to all four wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission and a full-time 2-speed transfer case with a locking center differential. The truck is equipped with A-TRAC traction control.
