1966 Ford Mustang White RWD Manual GT.The original engine has been replaced with a Hilborn-injected 289. The original front end was replaced with a fiberglass flip nose. A racing interior includes a pair of racing seats, basic gauges, and a roll bar. The rear chassis and suspension were modified for racing more than 50 years ago. The data plate showing the K-code VIN remains in place on the driver’s door jamb. The engine is a replacement 289-cu.in. OHV V8 that the seller estimates at 450 horsepower. The engine sports vintage Hilborn fuel injection and a Hunt magneto. Unique Crane cylinder heads are matched with a Crane racing camshaft. Custom, individual exhaust tubes carry gases away from the engine. The engine is matched with a factory four-speed manual transmission. A 9-inch rear axle with 5.33 gears rounds out the drivetrain. The original front-end sheetmetal was replaced with a fiberglass flip nose. It’s mounted on custom front-chassis tubing. The straight front axle is from a '38 Willys, per the seller. Originally blue, the exterior has been resprayed white with blue Shelby-style stripes. The rear wheel openings have been enlarged to accommodate large drag slicks.
