2001 Ford Excursion Limited 4x4, finished in Black Clearcoat and Arizona Beige with a Medium Parchment interior. A window sticker is provided in the photo gallery showing a total MSRP of $46,625. A partial list of notable equipment includes leather upholstery, heated front seats, rear parking sensors, woodgrain interior trim, and 16-inch premium aluminum wheels. Modifications are limited to a Kenwood head unit.Released for the 2000 model year, the Excursion still stands proud as the only series-produced SUV that manages to make a Chevrolet Suburban look a little small-boned. It was based on the F-250 Super Duty pickup, as its front end suggested, so it could comfortably carry eight passengers and their gear while towing a Tahoe to Lake Tahoe. Ford positioned the Limited model at the top of the range. Production ended after the 2005 model year.Power comes from a 7.3-liter PowerStroke turbodiesel V8, rated at 250 horsepower and 505 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission.
