The seller reports no modifications.Local Motors was founded in 2007 to create crowd-sourced low-volume cars. It's best known for the Rally Fighter, a lifted V8-powered coupe designed to speed across the desert. The company took an unusual approach to production: it invited Rally Fighter buyers to help customize and build their car in so-called microfactories scattered across the United States. Local Motors closed in early 2022, reportedly due to a lack of funding, after trying to bring an autonomous electric shuttle named Olli to production.Power comes from a 6.2-liter "LS3 E-Rod" V8, rated at about 430 horsepower and 425 lb-ft of torque. Sourced from the General Motors catalog of crate engines, it spins the rear wheels via a 6-speed "6L90" automatic transmission.
