2001 Lotus Esprit V8, finished in Calypso Red with a Raffia interior. The odometer displays about 17,400 miles. Peter Stevens gave it a less angular exterior design in 1988, power steering was made standard in 1994, and the 1997 model year brought a twin-turbocharged V8 (the first in the Esprit's history) that was designed in-house. Production ended in 2004, and only a small handful were sold in America; this car's certificate of provenance shows that it's one of 95 units sent here for 2001.Power comes from a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8, rated at 350 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Mid-mounted, it spins the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transaxle.
