Factory equipment includes a Cup R-specific body kit, headlight delete panels, an FIA-compliant full roll cage, carbon fiber seats, a quick-release MOMO steering wheel, and air conditioning. The list of modifications reported by the seller includes a P.B. Racing 270-horsepower upgrade kit and Wilwood Engineering 4-piston front brake calipers. Small and light, it was designed as a pure driver's car with an exceptionally balanced chassis and only a handful of comfort and convenience features. American sales of the street-legal model stopped in 2011 due to regulatory hurdles, but Lotus brought the Elise back to our shores for 2014 as a turn-key race car named Cup R that gained a long list of updates developed by its Motorsport department. Global sales of the Elise ended in 2021.Power comes from a 1.8-liter supercharged 4-cylinder engine, rated at 220 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque when left stock. The seller states that the modifications increase horsepower to 270 but a dyno sheet is not available. Called "2ZR-FE" internally, the engine spins the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
