2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STI, finished in silver with a blue and black interior. Extensive modifications made to this STI include a recently rebuilt engine with a Garrett twin scroll turbocharger, a Garrett intercooler, a Cobb boost control, upgraded internals, and much more. The full list of modifications made to this STI is below. The 2nd-generation Impreza made its debut for the 2001 model year, and it spawned the first WRX sold on the American market. Like the standard Impreza, the WRX was offered as a sedan and as a station wagon. The WRX (World Rally eXperimental) STI gained rally-bred upgrades, including a more powerful engine, a firmer suspension, a limited-slip rear differential, and a more muscular design characterized by a functional hood scoop and a rear wing. It became an instant success, thanks in part to its rally-inspired handling and its turbocharged engine.Power for this STI comes from an "EJ25" 2.5-liter turbocharged flat-4 engine, which in stock form produces 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. A dyno sheet shown in the photo gallery shows that this car makes 537 horsepower and 507 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. Power is delivered to all 4 wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
