1996 Chevrolet Corvette Collector Edition convertible, finished in Sebring Silver with a black leather interior. This unmodified Corvette is equipped with the desirable 6-speed manual transmission. The odometer reads in miles, currently displaying approximately 71,000 miles.Introduced as a 1984 model, the "C4" Corvette stood out from its predecessor with vastly improved performance and far more modern styling. It's widely considered the first modern Corvette, and it blazed the path the nameplate followed for decades to come. Chevrolet made subtle styling revisions inside and out for the 1991 model year, and production ended in 1996.The 1996 Collector Edition marked the end of C4 Corvette production before being replaced by the C5. It was mechanically similar to the Grand Sport model with the LT4 engine plus Sebring Silver paint reminiscent of the Stingray Racer of 1959, distinct 5-spoke wheels, and special badging and seat trim. 5,412 examples were built and only 1,381 were convertibles.Power comes from an "LT4" 5.7-liter V8, which produces 330 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
