1994 TVR - Chimaera

Finished in black with black soft top and a Wet Sand interior. This Chimaera is a right-hand-drive, British-spec car imported to America on a temporary basis in 2003 and brought to Canada by the seller in 2018. Factory equipment on this Chimaera includes staggered "Estoril" wheels, wood interior trim, and leather upholstery. Modifications reported by the seller include a 3-spoke Nardi steering wheel and a Blaupunkt Brighton 170BT head unit. The brake booster and a speed sensor were changed in 2019. England-based TVR launched the Chimaera in 1991 as a more comfortable evolution of the Griffith. It remained quick and engaging to drive thanks to its Rover-derived V8 engine and its relatively light 2,300-pound weight. Several evolutions of the Chimaera were released, including the HC (high compression), and production ended in 2003.About 6,000 units of the Chimaera were built. None were officially sold in America.Power for this Chimaera comes from a 4.0-liter V8, rated at 275 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. It spins the rear wheels via a "T5" 5-speed manual transmission.
